O Servi\u00e7o T\u00e9cnico de Explora\u00e7\u00e3o Geof\u00edsica e Geol\u00f3gica, em seu formato atual, foi inclu\u00eddo no organograma do IEE em Janerio de 2014. Atua na nuclea\u00e7\u00e3o e apoio a projetos ligados \u00e0 explora\u00e7\u00e3o de hidrocarbonetos e \u00e0 temas cient\u00edficos fundamentais com implica\u00e7\u00f5es para a a \u00e1rea.
Dentre os projetos em andamento destacam-se estudos sismol\u00f3gicos para investiga\u00e7\u00e3o crustal e litosf\u00e9rica; arquitetura e petrof\u00edsica de an\u00e1logos de reservat\u00f3rios silicicl\u00e1sticos e geologia de reservas n\u00e3o convencionais de hidrocarbonetos.
O Servi\u00e7o T\u00e9cnico atua em parceira com outras unidades da USP, desenvolvendo projetos em conjunto com orientadores e p\u00f3s-graduandos ligados aos programas de p\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Geoqu\u00edmica e Geotect\u00f4nica do IGc-USP e em Geof\u00edsica do IAG-USP.<\/p>\n
