Mestrado em Engenharia de Produ\u00e7\u00e3o, na \u00e1rea de Planejamento Urbano e Regional (1978) pela COPPE\/UFRJ-Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Programas de P\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Engenharia da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Graduado pela FAU\/USP-Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo (1975). Atualmente \u00e9 Professor Associado 2 (Livre Docente) &#8211; ref. MS-5 &#8211; RDIDP no Instituto de Energia e Ambiente (antigo Instituto de Eletrot\u00e9cnica e Energia) da Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo e Coordenador do Programa de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Energia da USP. Tem experi\u00eancia na \u00e1rea de Engenharia El\u00e9trica, com \u00eanfase em Energia e Meio Ambiente, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: politica energ\u00e9tica, planejamento energ\u00e9tico, alternativas energ\u00e9ticas, energia e sociedade e sustentabilidade energ\u00e9tica. \u00c9 autor de diversas publica\u00e7\u00f5es, entre as quais os livros &quot;Energia no Brasil: Para qu\u00ea?
